2KC4 CIC (2 Keep Caring 4)

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Our commitment

2KC4 CIC is committed to making our services, activities, volunteering opportunities and
communications as accessible and inclusive as possible. We treat everyone fairly and with
dignity, and we will not discriminate, harass or victimise anyone on the basis of a protected
characteristic — including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil
partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We’re working to make sure disabled and neurodivergent people, and people with
communication, sensory or mobility needs, can take part in what we do without
unnecessary barriers.

This website

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at
Level AA. This is a goal we’re actively working towards — it isn’t a claim that every page has
been independently audited or fully meets the standard yet. Where we know of a barrier,
we’ll work to fix it or offer an alternative way to get the same information.
Some content on our site is hosted by third-party platforms we don’t control. Where
possible we choose accessible options, and we’ll pass on any accessibility issues you report
to those providers.

Requesting an adjustment

If you’d like to take part in one of our activities, volunteer with us, or use our services, and
you need an adjustment — for example, information in a different format, support to
communicate, or a change to how something works — just let us know. We’ll consider each
request individually and do what’s reasonably practicable to remove the barrier. There’s no
charge for a reasonable adjustment.

Events and venues

When we choose venues for events and activities, we think about accessibility alongside
safety and practicality. Where we can, we’ll:
share clear information in advance about access, transport and facilities;
look for step-free routes, accessible toilets, suitable seating, and clear signage;
offer an alternative venue, time, format or remote option if a barrier can’t be removed.
We won’t describe a venue as accessible unless we have good reason to believe it is. If a
venue is controlled by a partner or landlord, we’ll raise any issues with them directly.

Volunteering and getting involved

Our recruitment and volunteering processes are designed to be as inclusive as possible. If
you need an adjustment to apply, take part in an interview or induction, or carry out a role,
please tell us — we’re happy to talk it through.

Tell us about a problem

If you come across anything on our website or in our activities that’s hard to access, or if
you feel you’ve experienced discrimination, we want to hear from it.

Email: hello@2kc4.org

Please tell us what the problem was and, if you can, roughly where you found it or when it
happened. You’re welcome to raise a concern anonymously, though this may limit how much
we can look into it.
We aim to acknowledge your message within five working days and get back to you with an
outcome within 20 working days. If we need longer, we’ll explain why.

Further advice

If you feel you’ve experienced discrimination and would like independent advice, the
Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) offers free, confidential support:

Legal time limits for discrimination claims can be short, so if you’re considering this route,
it’s worth getting advice promptly.
