We are starting from scratch, but not without experience.

2KC4 CIC has been created by a team with hands-on experience working with charities, community organisations and other CICs. We have seen what works, what gets wasted and where people and communities are still being let down.

We decided to build something better: a practical, ambitious social enterprise that tackles several connected problems instead of addressing them in isolation.

Our work will reduce clothing waste, support people experiencing clothing poverty, provide affordable access to essential items, create volunteering and supported work opportunities, deliver community workshops and help vulnerable people build confidence, skills and stronger connections.

We are beginning without major investment or start-up capital. What we do have is determination, knowledge, experience and a clear plan.

Your donation will help us cover the essential costs of getting started, including:

• collecting, transporting, sorting and storing donated clothing;
• purchasing equipment and project materials;
• building our online resale and fundraising operations;
• launching community workshops and pilot projects;
• supporting volunteers and creating accessible opportunities;
• reaching people and communities who need practical support.

Our aim is to become increasingly self-sustaining within our first year through responsible resale, fundraising, grants, partnerships and community-led projects. Every item we reuse, every person we support and every project we launch will help us grow our impact further.

We will start carefully, prove what works and scale as we go — delivering projects that support low-income households, vulnerable and disabled people, refugees, people experiencing homelessness, job seekers, single parents and local communities.

We believe real change happens when communities care for their people, their resources and their future.
